About the course

This two-day hands-on intensive is designed for individuals with little or mixed Scrum experience. It is a worthy investment for those who want to fast-track their understanding and explore Scrum in a fun and practical way so that you can use it effectively on your next project. Participants learn how to use Scrum to achieve rapid delivery of high quality outputs, in tight timeframes and a constantly changing world of business priorities. This training course prepares you for a leadership role within the Scrum team and provides the option to formally test your knowledge by sitting the Professional Scrum Master (PSM1) certification assessment from

agilePete is passionate about helping you become an awesome Scrum Master. He developed this training course so that he can share with you his practical scrum master and scrum coaching wizardry. So far he has achieved a 100% pass rate for all participants sitting their Scrum Master certification. He is a certified Scrum Master and certified Scrum Product Owner with 20+ years experience as an agile practitioner, trainer and coach.  He is based in Wellington and works actively with a range of major clients supporting their agile transformation journeys. He brings a wealth of practitioner experience to his training. agilePete is passionate about delivering training that can be practically used in the workplace and has developed his training courses to share his pragmatic agile, Scrum Master and Scrum coaching experience.

Toni Wilson is an experienced Product Owner and Agile Business Analyst with 15 years of experience across a variety of clients in the government, private and start-up worlds. Toni is passionate about ensuring the right thing is being worked on at the right time, reducing waste and maximising business value. She is a natural agilist and has successfully implemented agile approaches (both formally and by stealth) with all of her clients over the past 10 years.

Mark Murphy (Murf) is a certified Agile Project Manager and Scrum Master with an in depth knowledge of agile principles. He has 10 years of experience across a variety of clients in both the government and private sector.  Murf has strong people empathy and is passionate about establishing team environments that nurture happy and highly productive team members. He is also an excellent connector across an organisation and is relentless in chasing down and removing organisational impediments that impact his teams velocity or constrain the value the team are trying to deliver for his Product Owner.

The Venue

The course is run at the iconic and beautiful Te Papa with full catering provided. Te Papa is centrally located on the stunning Wellington waterfront. There are plenty of parking spaces available and we have a special rate of $10 per day for course attendees.
